2 keys to building true confidence and happiness

I have been coaching for a number of years now, and something I have learned that is important for living a better life, both for myself and for my clients, is to feel worthy. Because you really are worthy. We can be successful but still we can all wobble with this from time to time.
There are many kinds of strategies, ways of thinking, and practical tips for improving life in order to feel better about yourself, but they won't reach all the way unless the foundation is there. Learning who we truly are and connecting with that deeper part of us so we can be our most authentic selves, is a crucial part of building a meaningful life and genuine relationships. Authenticity happens when your words, actions, and behaviours consistently match your core identity. When you feel you can express your needs honestly and with confidence.
Here are two keys to find inner confidence and happiness in life.
Get To Know Your Values
To know your personal values is one of them. To get clear of your values is to know what is really important to you. Your values are at the very core of you you are. A value is something in yourself, in others or in the world that means most to you.
Why is it that some people or situations can leave you feeling angry, frustrated, demotivated, or deflated? It’s because one or more of your values is being denied, suppressed, or repressed – and we experience this as a negative experience because it’s denying a fundamental piece of who you are. You also know those times when you’ve felt alive, amazing, or buzzing? These are the times when one or more of your values are being honoured and everything feels just right.
Your values are all yours, and you can have absolute confidence in them. When you know your values, and who you really are, you can begin to make choices that align with them in your life, and live more true to yourself which will give you genuine inner confidence.
Love and accept yourself
Learning to love and accept yourself is the the other key to building confidence and self-esteem. This is a topic I am passionate about, because I have all too often seen how difficult this is for many. And yet it is one of the most important things to embrace.
While there are always ways to improve and better ourselves, in the end, we are who we are. Learning to accept yourself for who you are can bring peace to your life, and acceptance in turn strengthens us.
Self-love and self-acceptance means to acknowledge and love your abilities, ignore your inner critic, practice self-compassion, forgive yourself and others, set loving boundaries, move on from disappointments, gain perspective on your limitations and embrace every aspect of yourself, both strengths and weaknesses.
True confidence, knowing yourself and loving yourself for who you are, is what contributes to feeling satisfaction and happiness in life.
