Create an exciting vision for your career, business and life

Many go through their everyday life feeling overwhelmed and exhausted. There are so much to do and there never seems to be enough time or energy to do it all. Least of all time to think about whether this is really how I want to spend my days? Is this how you feel about your business, career, or life?
How would it feel if you could give yourself a vision of how you would like to live? Make it a big vision. One that embraces all the areas of your life. Your family, relationships and friends. Your work, health, eating habits and exercise routines. Finances. Recreation and interests. Your personal growth. Add to this your values, passions, sense of purpose, what you think is important, your well-being, the gifts you have come to share and last but not least what gives you the most joy, fun and fulfillment.
You are unique and only you can contribute the blend of talents, skills, knowledge and strengths that is your own way of expressing yourself. Whether it’s staying at home and raising a family, running your own business or being the CEO of a company. Create a vision that fills you with a deep sense of happiness and fulfilment, and start taking small micro steps to make it happen.
We create our reality all the time. Most of the time we create from our unconscious patterns and programming. You too are creating all the time, consciously and unconsciously. Do you want to live your life on autopilot? Or do you want to start saying yes to your dreams and take a leap of faith and start making them happen?
Sometimes we mull over our ideas forever, never finding them good enough or worthy enough, and before we know it, years have passed as we strive to get everything right and get it perfect. Do you recognize yourself?
Without the forward momentum and taking action, they are just going to stay a thought or an idea. To be happy and fulfilled in your career, for your business to be successful, or to be content and happy in life, you need both to have a vision and be willing to take action.
It's better to realize an idea rather than perfect it, and trust the process. Once you say yes to your ideas, you are already on the path to success. When you align your energy with your idea, your energy is giving it direction.
The process of creation starts with a thought, an idea, a passionate desire, or a dream of something. These are the intangible sparks of creation that ignite our drive to move forward and turn the intangible into our reality.
Begin by brainstorming on paper to get the contours. I like to put pen to paper to ignite the creative flow. I've also made a whole wall in my office as a huge noticeboard where I pin notes I then can rearrange and shift around. But get creative on whatever way that works for you. It could be mind-mapping, painting and drawing, or making voice memos on your mobile. Run with it not knowing where it’s going to go.
The first brainstorming session should be free flowing, so don't edit your thoughts or ideas. Give yourself the permission to play. If you are working on both your personal vision and your work vision, begin with the personal vision. Define what you want and how you want to spend your time.
This will give you clarity on what's important to you, your values, what you are passionate about in life and what makes you happy and fulfilled. Then you can create the vision of your ideal business or career. When you have the bigger picture, you can start taking action to bring what you really want into your life. Focus on what you really want and be very specific. Don't just say you want lots of money, a nice home and no stress. Create a picture in your mind of exactly what you want down to every detail and the feeling you will experience, and then use words draw that picture until your vision is clear. Be specific and go with what lights you up.
It might look like this:
- I want to start a profitable business of my own doing x.
- I want to offer my customers/clients x different modalities about x and add passive income revenue streams with x.
- I want to work five days a week between nine and three, devoting the rest of the day to self-care, exercising, hobbies and spending time with family and friends.
- I will earn x a year and take five weeks of vacation throughout the year.
- I love to learn, so I will spend x weeks a year in educational workshops and training programs to advance my career and myself.
- I provide my customers/clients excellent value and tools that help them with their lives.
- Contributing and improving people's lives is very important to me, so this is always something I carry out in my business and my community involvement.
Your thoughts create your reality. Where you focus your attention, your energy flows. If you focus on all the things you don't want, on all the things you don't have enough of, this is what you'll create more of. Start to create what you really want and create with the feeling you will have, as if it has already happened.
It's great to set goals as it can keep you moving forward. However you need to set goals that are also kind to yourself. It's just as important to schedule self-care and well-being in your plan as your new goals.
Fall in love with your vision and make it visible and tangible to bring it into your reality. Happy creating!
