It’s a good idea to reflect at the end of each year and set new intentions. If you want to change and have new beginnings and a better life, here are the questions to ask.

These questions can guide you whenever you're looking for direction in your life. I invite you to review your life more than once a year. You'll get so much more out of your life if you're more aware of your thoughts and your actions.

They have been designed to help you summarize the past year and to start the new year with fresh new intentions and goals for yourself.

Looking at this past year:

  1. What was the greatest gift 2022 gave you?
  2. Why were the gifts above meaningful to you?
  3. What did you accomplish that made you proud?
  4. What do you want to be acknowledged for?
  5. What did you say you would do that you didn't do? Do you still want to do this?
  6. What were your biggest disappointments?
  7. What did you learn? List three things you learned which will make a positive difference in the coming year.
  8. Who can you turn to for support?

See them as guidelines for next year.

Changing patterns:

  1. How do you limit yourself and how can you transform these actions to be powerful?
  2. What do you tell yourself to explain your “failures”? These false beliefs are your limiting paradigm.
  3. List your limiting paradigms.
  4. List your new paradigms which must be personal, positive, present tense, powerfully and simply stated, pointing to an exciting future.
  5. Read your new paradigms out loud when you awake and before going to sleep each day. Teach your subconscious mind that this is your belief now.

Looking ahead:

  1. What are your personal values? What is most important to you in your life? What drives you?
  2. Where is your life out of balance?
  3. If you could put one problem behind you, once and for all, what would it be?
  4. What is your focus for next year? In what way do you want a breakthrough?
  5. If you could tick off an action or an achievement, that would make you feel proud of yourself or that would make you feel really good, what would it be?
  6. What are your goals in each area of your life?
  7. How will they improve your life?
  8. How will they make you feel?
  9. How can get in touch your passion and make room for it in your life daily?
  10. How can you begin to say yes to your ideas and bring them into reality?

Ask yourself these questions periodically for a week or two. Write down your answers and feel free to revise them when you gain new insights. When you feel satisfied, answer one last question:

What do I want to accomplish and who do I want to be in the coming year?
